Resilience, Innovation, and the Drive to Build
The principles that guide my work today were shaped long before I founded my first company.
Growing up in a small town in Siberia, I was raised by a single mother devoted to caring for patients. Resources were limited, but expectations were not. When I wanted a pair of shoes my family couldn’t afford, my mother challenged me to earn them myself. So, in third grade, I started buying and reselling stationery and posters to classmates.
That experience taught me two lessons that still shape every investment, board discussion, and strategic decision I make today:
Great businesses solve meaningful problems.
Value is created through execution.
Years later, I moved to the United States alone with just $320 and built my career from the ground up.
Over the past 15+ years, I’ve built, scaled, and exited companies across AI, Deep Tech, Digital Health, and MedTech. I’ve worked with founders, investors, boards, and executive teams across three continents, helping organizations navigate commercialization, fundraising, governance, strategic partnerships, and growth.
Today, through The Scale Foundry, I operate at the intersection of Board Leadership • Venture Partnerships • Operating Expertise. I advise venture-backed companies, support investors with sourcing, commercial diligence and portfolio value creation, serve on boards, invest as an angel, and speak internationally on innovation, AI, healthcare, and leadership.
My perspective is shaped by experience on both sides of the table-as a founder who has built and exited companies, an operator responsible for execution, and an investor evaluating what creates long-term enterprise value.
Today, I live in Switzerland with my family. Outside work, you’ll usually find me on a tennis court-a reminder that, much like business, long-term success comes from discipline, resilience, and continuous improvement.
My approach is grounded in execution, sound governance, and long-term value creation. I believe great companies are built through clear strategy, disciplined decision-making, and leaders who are willing to make difficult decisions early.
Having built, scaled, and exited companies myself, I understand the realities founders, boards, and investors face at every stage of growth. That perspective enables me to bridge strategy with execution, helping organizations navigate fundraising, commercialization, governance, partnerships, and scale.
More than a decade of competitive basketball shaped my leadership style long before I entered the boardroom. Success rarely comes from individual brilliance alone. It comes from preparation, resilience, teamwork, and consistent execution under pressure.
